lyrics
There's a very old cemetery built upon that hill
Nameless graves lie beneath the thick and chilling mist
Black unholy cults defiled and cursed this place forever
No living dares to go there the dead can find no peace
Underneath the hollow ground lie the infernal gates
Open in the midnight hour and sky is turning red
Satan in a serpent form appears from the abyss
Slowly creeps inside the coffins and devours the dead
On the hill of crosses
Evil lives forever
On the hill of crosses
God forsaken you
Stench of death on blackened soil damned spirits dwell
In the ageless cenotaph the skeletons have turned to dust
Clouds rained fire and hail until the hill was cleansed
Now it's a barren waste with no signs of the past
On the hill of crosses
Evil lives forever
On the hill of crosses
God forsaken you
Romans took christ up there and let his mother cry
Crucified him on the hilltop between two common thieves
Night fell and once again the snake smelled living flesh
Satan rised from the ground to feast on jesus meat
On the hill of crosses
Evil lives forever
On the hill of crosses
God forsaken you
On the hill of crosses
Evil lives forever
On the hill of crosses
Satan feasts on christ

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
